A Very Warm Take on an Iconic Poster

Artwork: Hoppers Poster — Disney/Pixar
Color Harmony: Analogous
Key Color: Orange

This week’s artwork is the poster for Hoppers, Pixar’s upcoming animated film, which playfully recreates one of cinema’s most recognizable poster compositions—The Silence of the Lambs. Instead of eerie darkness, the design leans into a tightly controlled warm palette that moves from bright yellow through saturated orange and down into a deep, earthy red. The central character’s fur sits right in the middle of that spectrum, allowing the butterfly to pop while still feeling completely embedded in the scene.

The analogous harmony keeps everything visually cohesive while the contrast comes from scale and placement rather than color shifts. The butterfly becomes the focal point simply because it interrupts the character’s face at the exact center of the composition—mirroring the iconic original poster while keeping the mood playful instead of ominous.
