How to Turn a Silhouette into a Movie Poster in Photoshop
In this tutorial, I'll show you how you can create an entire film poster with nothing more than ONE silhouette brush bundle. We're going to be creating the poster in the style of the poster for The Draw by Tom Ruddock. We'll look at using shape layers and mask properties to create glows and also how to use layer styles give three dimensional life to a flat silhouette.
I'll show you how to add color to your image using a single gradient map—also giving you the flexibility to change the color of your entire poster with a click. And then we'll finish the poster with some strong film grain.
Finally, because we want efficient workflows, I'll also show you how you can do all this with a smart object so that you can switch to a different silhouette without having to redo any of your work.
